Pile Liners?
Pile liners can look like a relatively simple component, but their job isn't always simple. They need to retain their shape during handling and installation, resist ground and concrete pressures, prevent fall-in and seepage, and provide a reliable form for the finished pile. In demanding civil and marine environments, the physical properties of the liner can therefore matter as much as its initial cost.
The spirally wound tubes produced by our tubeformers feature a patented seam cavity, which both stabilises the tubes and locks the seams into place, ensuring that tolerances are maintained even during handling and transport, and ensuring durability on site.

SwiftSteel® pile liners are suitable for all weathers, are very cost-efficient and perfect where unstable soil conditions are present or there are unusual engineering specifications, such as in marine environments or earthquake regions. Handling on site is easy too as they weigh just 13kg for a 300mm x 3m tube.

Steel vs Plastic (HDPE) Pile Liners
Whilst plastic/HDPE has its benefits, steel brings a different set of advantages — rigidity, crush resistance, dimensional stability, adaptability and installation robustness — that can make it the better engineering choice for particular piling applications.

Permanent Pile Liners
Simplifies construction and reduces preparation time, preventing seepage and fall-in. Resists the distortions caused by the hydrostatic pressures of concrete.
Concrete Void Formers
Lightweight and economical for use in any concrete structure including buildings and bridges. When installed in bridges and concrete structures, it will not leach from surrounding concrete.
